Can I get an oil change while I wait?
Yes, we are not a Quick Lube…so we do recommend that you make an appointment first to ensure that we are able to get your oil service performed in a timely manner. Our oil changes are conducted by an ASE certified technician and include a multi-point vehicle inspection as a courtesy to help you stay aware of the overall safety of your vehicle.
Does your auto shop provide hybrid repair services?
Yes, we service hybrid vehicles including hybrid battery diagnosis and replacement.
Do you sell tires?
Yes, we do not keep tires in stock, which allows us to cater tires directly to your wants, needs and budget. Most tires are able to arrive within 24 hours. Some are available same day, but a more limited selection. 36 Month Road Hazard is available for an additional cost. 1st year = 100% replacement, 2nd year = 50% replacement, 3rd year = 25% replacement. Do you warranty your work?
Absolutely, 24,000 miles/24 months (whichever comes first) parts & labor warranty is the peace of mind of knowing that if a part OR repair unexpectedly fails, our service team will stand behind our commitment to fix the issue. Should something go wrong you’re covered for any replacement parts, the labor time needed to identify the issue and we perform the repair all FREE OF CHARGE. *Jasper Engines/Transmissions come with a 3 Year/100,000 Mile Warranty. *Occasionally additional Specialty Parts will come with their own warranties discussed at time of purchase.
My car is under warranty with the manufacturer or dealer, can I still bring my vehicle to you?
Yes, we are fully authorized to perform your vehicle’s required maintenance, so you are not required to return to the dealer for this work, and your warranty will remain intact.
If I have my vehicle maintained at your shop, can that void my factory warranty?
No, having Elstro Auto maintain your vehicle will not void your factory warranty. In 1975, the U.S. Congress passed the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a federal law that governs consumer product warranties. Among other things, Congress wanted to ensure that consumers could get complete and straightforward information about warranty terms and conditions. In short, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act gives you these rights:
By law, your vehicle’s manufacturer warranty will stay in effect when you have regularly scheduled maintenance performed at a qualified facility that uses quality parts and procedures. Generally, your vehicle’s manufacturer warranty cannot require you to return to your auto dealer for vehicle maintenance, or to only use the brand of replacement parts offered by that dealer.
Why do I have to pay for diagnostics?
In some cases it might not be known upfront as to what is wrong with a vehicle and time has to be spent in figuring out what is the underlining cause. Diagnostic fees are necessary and justified in most cases and are not set at a “Flat Fee” as at some places. We will take the time to figure out the problem and get an accurate repair estimate. If it is discovered the root of the problem is something simple we do not even charge a diagnostics fee. Ultimately, we want to save you money. By taking the time to figure out what is wrong, we are not just putting random parts on your vehicle and “hoping for a fix.”
Can I bring my own parts for you to install?
Yes, we understand that some people want to research and purchase their own parts, and we will install them as long as they are of similar quality. But there is a downside to this versus having the parts through us. By bringing your own part there is NO warranty with us. If that company you purchased them through offers one, you will have to go through them on refunds if the part was to fail. But you would be responsible for labor costs on the initial install and then when you had it replaced the next time. There is also the chance the part you ordered is actually wrong or delayed. Causing additional costs.
Can I request used parts?
Generally the answer to this is no. There is a reason that same part just failed on your vehicle, so there usually wouldn’t be a reason to chance it with another used version. But sometimes there are some parts that are okay to purchase as used, if you are trying to keep repair costs low, it’s an older vehicle, etc. Used parts can be unreliable and we have no way to know the integrity of the materials, most will then not come with a warranty and be purchased as-is. We will always discuss the best repair plan when coming up with a course of action with your estimate.
Do you perform auto body repair work?
No, we perform almost all major repair services, except for major body work. If you’ve had an accident that’s damaged the structure of your vehicle, we recommend having a body shop professional examine and advise what to repair first before we conduct any major internal repairs. We have recommendations on Body Shops, please give us a call.
Can you tow my vehicle?
No, but we would be happy to assist you with arranging for a tow. We are able to add the cost of the tow to your bill to prevent having to deal with both. If you have AAA, you will need to arrange for a tow through them. As with any towing coverage through insurance, we cannot advise what coverage each customer may have as policies vary, you may want to check with them first to be sure your tow is covered.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we have a credit card via NAPA Easy Pay. You can apply online or in person. Repairs over $199 qualify for 0%. Other forms of payment accepted: Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Check.
