Elstro Auto opened its doors on July 1, 2011, originally located on South 5th Street in Richmond, Indiana. 

Thanks to strong community support, we expanded just over a year later. In January 2013, we moved into our current location at 1119 N.W. 5th Street.

Our facility is fully equipped to handle everything from routine maintenance to major auto repairs.

Matt Elstro – Owner & ASE Master Certified Diagnostic Technician
With over two decades of hands-on experience in the automotive industry, Matt brings deep technical knowledge and a passion for problem-solving to Elstro Auto. As an ASE Master Certified Technician, he leads the service team with a focus on precision, transparency, and long-term customer trust. Matt takes pride in staying current with the latest automotive technology and ensuring every customer leaves confident in their vehicle repairs. Matt is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of automotive technicians. He proudly serves on the Advisory Board for Ivy Tech’s Automotive Program, helping shape the future of technical education and supporting young talent entering the industry. 

Ashley Elstro – Operations Manager & Auto Sales
Ashley keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes. With a background in business and a sharp eye for operations, she handles everything from customer care to marketing and finance. She’s passionate about building a business that puts people first—focusing on clear communication, honest service, and a welcoming experience for every visitor. Ashley also leads community outreach efforts and enjoys connecting with customers both in person and online. Ashley is also your go-to person for pre-owned vehicle sales, helping customers find reliable cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs with a no-pressure, people-first approach. Her goal is to make the car-buying process simple, transparent, and even enjoyable—especially for women and first-time buyers.
